ECO TEAM
The Eco Team functions as an operational support to ensure engagement, training and ongoing tracking and measurement of risks and targets. Environmental sustainability is overseen by the environmental sustainability committee (‘ESC’), who amongst other things, works closely with our franchisees to enable a sustainability mindset and guide implementation of sustainability policies and tracking, measurement and verification of environmental data streams.
Initiatives include reducing water wastage, ensuring energy-saving initiatives are applied, formal waste reduction and recycling programmes are in place, cooking oil usage and disposal are correctly implemented, and sustainable packaging is used throughout our franchises. Key performance indicators are set every year to encourage constant improvement.
The Eco Team builds close relationships with various stakeholders to ensure all environmental commitments and objectives are met.
